My Top 10 Paints Right Now

LET’S GET PAINTY

I LOVE colour. It makes my heart sing. Here are just some of my favourite colours right now…

1. Ball Green Farrow & Ball
I Love the simplicity of this tone of green. It’s non-shouty, compliments so many other tones but also somehow packs a real punch. I love it in any room of the house. Works really well with reds, golds, soft blacks, whites and mulberry.

3. BRICK Edward Bulmer
I am not generally a fan of orange but when I saw this colour, it 100% converted me. It’s similar to a terracotta but somehow much softer on the eye. I think it works really well with black, gold, tobacco yellow and greens.

4. WIMBORNE WHITE Farrow & Ball
I’ve used this white alot and think it is so pretty - almost like a milk colour. It’s perfect for woodwork , ceilings and windows if pairing with a stronger colour on the walls

5. RUSE Paint & Paper Library
Is it pink? Or heather? Or a bit of both? Whatever it is, I love it. It works beautifully in a bedroom or in a cosy living room. I love it paired with mulberry, forest green , black and off white.

6. OLIVE COLOUR Little Greene
I personally think dark green rooms have had their day, but this jewel colour feels so much fresher and more exciting than standard dark green. I love it in a kitchen with black cabinets or in a dramatic hallway or bathroom.

7. LIGHT BLUE Farrow & Ball
I just love this pretty blue. It has quite an antique-y feel to it and looks so lovely with gold picture frames hanging against it. I love it paired with De Nimes, also by Farrow & Ball, as shown here on the panels.

8. MASON PINK Edward Bulmer
Swoon. I love this putty pink - it’s just the right side of delicate but still manages to have soul and substance. I like it paired with mulberrys or greens and think it works in any room of the house.

9. BATH STONE Little Greene
A little less punchy than the other yellow earlier on, this tone is more of a sand yellow than a tobacco. It is subtle yet i think works beautifully with blues, reds and greens. It would look fabulous in a living room.

10. ADVENTURER Little Greene
Sure, this is a punchy colour but isn’t it lovely! If you are doing panelling it would look wonderful for the walls, paired with a lighter shade like ‘Ruse’ for the panels. I think this works really well in bedrooms, bathrooms and studies/snugs. Pair with lighter pinks and greens.
